Mitsubishi Returns to SEMA With the Outlander Diamond Trail Edition
Mitsubishi is preparing to return to SEMA for the first time in 14 years, having last exhibited there in 2012. The company will show the Outlander Diamond Trail Edition, modified for travel beyond paved roads.
Outlander Gets New Bumpers and a Rock-Driving Mode
The Outlander Diamond Trail Edition has revised front and rear bumpers that shorten its overhangs. Compared with the regular Outlander, its approach and departure angles have increased to 20.5 and 23.1 degrees, respectively. It also gets a distinctive grille.
New black 18-inch alloy wheels wear Nexen Roadian ATX all-terrain tires. The all-wheel-drive system carries over from the regular Outlander, but adds a rock-driving mode, while the surround-view camera system can now be used at higher speeds.
Inside, Mitsubishi chose dark gray water-repellent upholstery with khaki stitching that is easy to clean. Diamond Trail Edition logos complete the cabin.
Two Display Outlanders Get Lifts and Adventure Gear
The standard version gets darkened headlights, substantial wheel-arch extensions and raised roof rails. The first display vehicle has a 1.5-inch lift, BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A tires and additional lighting. It is accompanied by a custom-painted Gulf Stream trailer, while a Thule roof rack carries two Specialized Stumpjumper mountain bikes.
The second version has a kit that increases ground clearance by 2.5 inches. It is also equipped with additional lighting, traction boards and a rooftop tent.
Outlander Diamond Trail Will Be Offered in North America
Mitsubishi will present the standard Outlander Diamond Trail Edition and the two modified vehicles at SEMA in Las Vegas from November 3–6, 2026. They will be joined by the Ralliart team's Triton rally truck, the Delica D:5 Ultimate Gear and the Outlander Sport Trail Edition.
The standard Outlander Diamond Trail Edition is intended for sale at North American dealerships. A new metallic green paint color, Trail Green Metallic, will be available for its body.
