AvtoVAZ signs cooperation protocols with 2 new Lada partners in the Moscow region
AvtoVAZ said it is restructuring and updating Lada’s dealer network in the Moscow region. The statement followed media reports that the automaker’s website was listing fewer dealerships for the brand in Moscow and the Moscow region.
According to automotive website Drom, the list has recently shrunk to 6 dealerships from around 15. The website cited financial difficulties at individual dealerships and some companies’ switch to other car brands among the reasons. The report does not attribute the changes solely to Lada’s lack of popularity in the region.
AvtoVAZ’s press office said the company had signed cooperation protocols with 2 new partners in addition to its existing dealers. Several other companies have expressed interest in working with the automaker. The company plans to announce new dealership openings separately.
